dc.description.resumoO trabalho avalia o sistema de produção, consumo e escoamento do açúcar cristal na Região Nordeste por ser o açúcar um importante gerador de recursos financeiros para a região, e possuir uma participação expressiva na produção deste produto no cenário nacional . A produção está praticamente concentrada nos estados de Pernambuco e Alagoas, havendo a necessidade de escoamento do produto para toda a região, onde as longas distâncias exigem uma melhor adequação modal de escoamento da produção. A aplicação de um modelo matemático à situação atual apontou a viabilidade de uma produção elevada nos estados com usinas atualmente desativadas, identificando , ainda, a viabilidade de uma maior participação da modalidade marítima no escoamento do açúcar cristal na região Nordeste.pt_BR

dc.description.abstractThe work evaluates the system of production, consumption and flow of crystal sugar in the Northeast because sugar is an important generator of financial resources for the region and has a significant participation in the production of this product in the national scenario. Production is states of Pernambuco and Alagoas, where there is a need to dispose of the product throughout the region, where long distances require a better modal adequacy of production flow. The application of a mathematical model to the current situation pointed to the feasibility of a high production in the states with plants currently deactivated, also identifying the feasibility of a greater participation of the maritime modality in the flow of crystal sugar in the Northeast region.pt_BR
