A Lenda do Lobisomen e sua atualização na tradição oral do Cariri Cearense.

Abstract

This work sets out to carry out a research which has object the legend of the werewolf, presenting a synthesis of thos story's journey from antiquity to the present day, without intend, however, to exhaust this path, since this legend acquires versions new in several cultures, not being that is the intention of this work. The general objective is analysis of one a local legend, give relief its privates aspects: Vicente Finin, the werewolf from Cariri cearense. The story is arising in the city of Barbalha, where continue still present current days, being widespread spread throughout the Cariri region. This research is characterized as bibliographical of character qualitative, based on theorists such as Cascudo (2000), who sets out conceptions about of the Legend genre, as well as Bayard (2002), who present aspects of the historicity of the genre. In order live in front out the research into the theme, the legend of the werewolf and its specificities, we based ourselves on Pinto (1986), who presents and discusses the main concepts about this character with a long tradition in Western culture.
