Texto, imagem e projeto gráfico na obra Inês, de Roger Mello e Mariana Massarani: por uma adaptação do mito português de Inês de Castro para crianças brasileiras.

Abstract

This article consists of a critical appraisal, especially regarding the scarcity of literary works inspired by the Portuguese myth of Inês de Castro adapted for Brazilian children. We consider the possibility of retelling/adaptation of the story of the tragic love of Pedro and Inês by the hybridization and/or relationship between text, image and graphic design in the adaptation Inês (2015), by Roger Mello and Mariana Massarani. The illustrated book is conceived as a possibility of expansion and enlargment of the myth in resignification for the children's audience. In the theoretical reference there is, therefore, the exploration of discussions already nourished by researchers who are relevant to the area of graphic narratives, such as the Brazilian Ninfa Parreiras (2009) and the French Sophie Van der Linden (2011), both specialized in criticism of illustrated book.
