Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Conceição - Recife/PE: considerações sobre devoção e turismo religioso.

Abstract

This article is a reflection about the religious tourism that occurs in the sanctuary of Ours Lady of the Conceição, in Recife, Pernambuco. To reinforce our argument we made to converge, mainly, lenses of the Cultural History of Chartier, as much as of the Sociology of Peter Berger, in what the use of the concept of plausibility and the concepts of habitus and field of Pierre Bourdieu says respect. The main results of the research of field, accomplished from verbal history, of the ethnography and of what if it defines as religious tourism, indicate a considerable increase in the tourist flow in the related sanctuary, evaluated in the present time as the biggest sanctuary of the State of Pernambuco.
