A História e a Memória dos Arteceramistas de Teresina - Piauí.

Abstract

In this rehearsal, we intended to present our first impressions concerning a research. We aimed at building the history and the memory of the trade and ways of doing from the craftsmen, workers with the clay in the district Poty Velho in Teresina, with the temporary cutting from 1998 to 2006. Our main sources are the artisans' testimonies, granted in December 2007. With base in the methodology of the Oral History, and in the methodological contribution of the manual of application of IRNC (National inventory of Cultural References) we inquire on the ways of doing pottery in Teresina, the interventions and the effects of SEBRAE, City hall of Teresina, Arcepoti (Association of the Ceramists of Poty Velho) in the ceramist production and about the possibility of thinking the way of doing ceramic as a good of our immaterial patrimony.
