Central de laboratórios estudo preliminar de arquitetura no campus sede da UFCG.

Abstract

Universities have laboratories for teaching, research and extension aimed at theoretical improvement, through experiments, observations and practical activities, which represents a realistic model of the field of the profession. However, at the Federal University of Campina Grande, the demand and geographic distribution of this equipment are often inadequate for its users. In view of this, this research has the general objective of developing a preliminary architectural study of a new Laboratory Center, on the main campus of the Federal University of Campina Grande - PB, to replace the existing buildings. And, more specifically, it aims to propose architectural solutions integrated with the institutional identity of UFCG (form); To favor the integration and spatial flexibility of the environments (function); To explore durable and easy-to-maintain construction solutions (technique). To this end, the development of the architectural project was supported by documentary and bibliographical research, historical study of the site and fieldwork (physical survey) of blocks BU, BT, BS and BR, in sector B of the UFCG main campus, in addition to the study of related projects. Thus, this work presents a proposal in response to these demands.
