MOVIMENTO LGBT BRASILEIRO: uma análise da sua ação política na luta por direitos sociais.

Abstract

The present Conclusion of the Course (TCC) analyzes the political organization of the Brazilian LGBT Movement as the main mechanism for the formulation and implementation of social rights and the promotion of the citizenship of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite, transsexual and transgender people. In order to do so, we sought to identify the historical process of building the LGBT movement in Brazil, the developments caused by the challenges, and what are the fronts of struggle undertaken to overcome the barriers of prejudice and oppression experienced daily. The theme was defined by the personal desire to debate about social movements, and considering that the LGBT Movement is a not much debated issue in all areas of social life, as well as the scarce theoretical reference. So, the research presented in this study is of character essentially qualitative, bibliographic and documentary, from sources of books, scientific articles, documents, public notes and news from official websites and blogs, which was analyzed to explore the set of opinions of the problem to be investigated. It has been realized that the LGBT movement despite some achievements still faces many obstacles, but it is far from giving up the struggle to guarantee their rights, and must articulate with other social movements that also seek a society free of oppression and exploitation. The method of analysis refers to the dialectical critic, used by the Social Service since its renewal process, which considers the historicity of social processes and concepts, the production's socioeconomic conditions of phenomena, social relations of production and domination, and the existing social contradictions, understanding reality in its totality and complexity.
