Lugares de história, lugares de memória, lugares de luta: a construção social da história de Margarida Maria Alves sob efeitos de apagamento, esquecimento e silenciamento em Alagoa Grande-PB.

Abstract

This paper focuses on the trajectory of Margarida Maria Alves - a union leader who was murdered in 1984 in the city of Alagoa Grande - PB, and the appropriation of her story and trajectory by the residents of her city. To this end, we used several research strategies, namely: bibliographical survey, ethnographic research in the city, and specifically the analysis of the organization of the museums (Casa Margarida Maria Alves and Memorial Jackson do Pandeiro), through their objects, physical distribution and perception of employees and visitors of this story. The daily appropriation of the trajectories of Margarida Alves and Jackson do Pandeiro in these spaces allows us to explore how the residents of Alagoa Grande perceive or do not perceive their history, memories, speeches and silences, and the social production of these stories themselves. Through research and theoretical discussions, we seek to analytically explore the processes of forgetting their history, erasing their widely recognized cultural, political, historical and heritage heritage, and silencing their actions in the place where they were born and died, perceived in various areas of their daily lives.
