Balanço energético dos sistemas de produção de soja e milho safrinha em uma pequena propriedade no oeste do Paraná.

Abstract

The energy balance permits to identify all the possible energy input and output in the systems of the agricultural production. The determination of better strategies to opt for the agricultural system depends on analysis of the specific environmental conditions for the culture and of the energy efficiency, providing better strategies of administration of the system. The objective of this work was carry out the energy balance of the corn and soy productions systems in two years of consecutive management, on the direct drilling in a farmer on the West Parana State. The energy inputs and outputs were determined through the caloric power of the material involved in each phase of the process. The energetic efficiency was obtained performing the ratio between the total amounts of outputs and inputs of energy in every phase. The results indicated that the expense with harvest and transport and the intensive use of herbicides in the two systems contributed for the increase of the consumption of energy.
