Rezadores de Umari - CE: entre a tradição e a fé (1970 - 2015).

Abstract

The research developed has the theme Prazadores de Umari - CE: between the tradition and faith (1970-2015) with the purpose of showing how religious practices were and present in everyday life, presenting itself as a tradition in people's lives. We focus on the knowledge of how prayers pray and how they treat of the diseases that come to them. From the methodological point of view, we oral history through interviews and the collection of testimonies and reports that were worked for us as documentation. Working with the social history of culture and mentalities, we dialogue with authors who have enabled us to think way of understanding social and cultural life and the role that these have before society. The approach with the Umari - CE knowledge of a plural, multifaceted religious culture that religious traditions rooted from the initial social formation of Brazil to the current days.
