Os mistérios do corpo: estudo das representações sobre saúde em Princesa Isabel-PB.

Abstract

This dissertation talks about the representation of healthy, disease and healing made by the users of the public service of Princesa Isabel's county - Pb, gifted of one grid of servece of medical assistance that embrace many county around. The research was developed between the months of May and June of 1996, based in the relation between user and public service of healthy, from the observation of one hospital. The methodology used, gave more importance to the qualitative method, made by free interview, following one schedule already set and recorded in cassette recorded, and also used like a way of register were used a notebook . The interview was made with 25 users, 2 doctors, 03 nurse, 1 nurse's auxiliary, the owner of a pharmacy, a foster mother, 4 prayers so we finished this interview with 37 interviews. The analyze of this research, based on the interview, gathering in these specific themes, healthy and decease; alimentation and hygiene; the healing; the body; relation between nurse and patient; the hospital; the medicines, hospitalize; the medical counsel and the relation between doctor and patient.
