A formação dos profissionais das ciências agrárias na UFPB: desafios e perspectivas.

Abstract

At present the materialistic and reductionism idea has largely been discussed and criticized. It is caused by capitalist progress model. It has been confirmed, since sixties, that the communities and excluded productive segments pass through this vulnerable situation. This is an opportunity to reflect deeply the central aspects of Northeast reality from a new angle to develop the political and materielistic conditions of possible sustaintable development. The Northeast rural world, in spite of changing prevailing vulnerable patterns, has been blocked by many factors such as the ones related to suitable model of developmental state. In the present work, we approach those courses that fitted the Agrarian Sciences within this process. We tried to reveal the adoption's importance of an agriculture politics based upon conventional development pattern, which was responsible for agricultural modernization in Brazil. We also emphasis how this agriculture development choice influenced the Educational plans applied to Higher learning Institutes in Agrarian Sciences. The sample universe of studies is based upon the ones that exist in UFPB. Finally, we indicate that the fonnulation and execution importance of an active educational orientation would be, among others, very important for the professional Agrarian Sciences formation, considering the agriculture sustaintable development promotion in Northeast region without necessarily being against the National Educational Politics.
