Análise do PRONAF e o desenvolvimento rural no Município de Sumé / Paraíba.

Abstract

This work is a case study in the Municipality of Sumé, in the state of Paraíba, and its main objective is to analyze the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture-PRONAF regarding its social and economic contributions to the local development of beneficiary family farmers Of this program in the municipality of Sumé-PB. The specific objectives are to describe the importance of PRONAF for family farming; To point out the impacts of family farming in the city of Sumé-PB; To identify rural development for the municipality of Sumé from the contributions of PRONAF, and to identify if there were changes in the quality of life for farmers from incentives from PRONAF. In this research the methodological procedures are based on the accomplishment of a descriptive exploratory research, with bibliographical and documentary analysis, of a qualitative and quantitative nature, through a case study and as data technique was used the observation with the application of questionnaires with open questions And closed. In the research, it was verified that the PRONAF program has its significant socioeconomic contributions, providing aid to the farmers of the municipality of Sumé-PB, which have positively impacted the quality of life of farmers, generating a potential for greater rural / local.
