Roteirização de veículos: estudo de caso em uma indústria de laticínios no Rio Grande do Norte.

Abstract

The reduction of logistical costs as well as the improvement of the service level are important factors for the maintenance of the companies in the market, since they have a significant influence on the competitiveness and economic and financial results of the organization. Transport problems represent a major impact on the logistics costs of the organization and play a fundamental role in the service offered to the customer. The present work proposes the use of a heuristic to solve a real problem of routing of vehicles with homogeneous fleet, known demand and with capacity restriction of the vehicle and working day of the drivers. The strategy adopted is the application of the Scanning method to define and propose new routes for the distribution process of a dairy industry located in the city of Angicos, Rio Grande do Norte, in order to meet the needs of customers, respecting all restrictions present in the problem. The method proved to be effective in terms of reduction of routes, maximum utilization of vehicle capacity and optimization of the time available for deliveries, influencing the reduction of 27.91% of logistics operating costs.
