Abstract

This Supervised Internship Report from the Management program addresses the experiences of women in solidarity economy enterprises. The proposed objective consists in identifying the possibilities, the challenges and the social transformations of female participation in solidarity enterprises attended by the project "Rural Women: Autonomy and Empowering in the Cariri Paraibano" in the city of Sumé - PB. To achieve this objective, the used methodology consisted of qualitative-descriptive nature, through a case study and used as techniques for data collection the documental analysis, semi-structured interviews and the non-participant observation. The data was treated according to the stages of analysis exposed by Bardin (2011). The results show that the participation of women in solidarity economy enterprises brings improvements to their lives, which allows integration with other women in similar reality of life, better work conditions and personal realization through performed work and it is also a source of social transformation as it recovers the women's self-esteem, helps the battle for gender equality and generates social emancipation. However, women in solidarity economy enterprises face challenges that are related to enterprise management, adequate infrastructure, small financial return and conciliation between housework and the group's activity.
