Memórias e representações: estudo das atividades femininas no mundo do trabalho em Triunfo-PB entre 1960-1990.

Abstract

This work has as main objective to problematize the activities of the world of work occupied by women in the city of Triunfo, sertão paraibano in the 1960s to 1990s. It intends to make a survey of the main activities performed by the women triumfenses in the focused period, highlighting the spaces where it was possible to observe the female presence, thus constructing a narrative about the world of local labor. For this, interviews were conducted with a group of women from the local community, whose speeches analyzed and added to the information from the documentation collected at the City Hall, served as the basis for the construction of this work. In addition, it was used throughout the project readings and discussions of references that deal with the construction of female identity in the world of work, and the forms of opposition of women to stereotypes prevailing in Brazilian society that stigmatized women as housewives. , fragile and unable to develop any activity that was not linked to the domestic environment, thus restricting, for centuries, female participation in the home sphere. With this bibliography, it was thought the dynamics of the triumphal woman in her daily life and throughout the studied period in which new routes were drawn by them outside the domestic environment, when they were entering the labor market that the city offered.
