Dificuldades no ensino de matemática em uma turma de educação de jovens e adultos no município de Sumé – PB: a economia solidária como ferramenta para aprendizagem.

Abstract

Youth and Adult Education is a teaching modality that offered the opportunity to those who did not complete their studies at the appropriate age by several factors. There are many challenges in teaching-learning, and the greatest of these is the understanding of mathematics teaching, which requires the creativity of teachers to deliver their content. One must use the daily use of the students of the EJA, to facilitate their understanding, leading them to learning in a pleasant way. The inclusion of Solidarity Economy in the teaching of mathematics, besides facilitating this understanding, still shows other ways of living in society. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate this teaching modality as a contextualized teaching that must be built through an exchange of experiences, inserted in the concept of the Solidary Economy. In order to understand the importance of teaching mathematics, a questionnaire was applied with the intention of establishing the need to improve this teaching through the Solidary Economy. When analyzing the questionnaire, it was observed that the difficulties encountered are related to the methodologies used by the teacher, as well as the need for practical classes for this type of teaching. The inclusion of the Solidary Economy in the teaching of mathematics can facilitate the teaching-learning relationship, since many experience this economy, but they are unaware of it and, by relating it to teaching, it can help their understanding, as well as show other income generation alternatives people who have been excluded from the world of work.
