A percepção dos moradores do bairro Santo Antônio na cidade de Campina Grande – PB, sobre a importância da água e seu consumo consciente: um estudo de caso.

Abstract

The object of this study analysed the level of perception of the residents of the Saint's district Antônio, aiming at a bigger conscience against the waste. The above-mentioned district is located in the city of Big Prairie, state of the Butch woman. The study began with the theoretical revision on Environment, Environmental Education, Environmental Management, as well as the approach of the environmental problems: global heating, pollution, shortage of fresh water and the existent relation between man and nature. It takes as a focus the importance of the water, the problems resulted from his shortage, alternatives for the conscious consumption and some suggestions to put an end to the culture of the waste of water. As for the methodology it the question is a case study, in which there was used the technique of the interview, observation, as well as the application of a form to a sample of 50 residents of the district. The results showed that the factors made a list to the waste of water and environmental education are unsatisfactory, in other words, the subjects of the inquiry do not recognize the importance what the water has in our lives and not even the necessity of preserving the environment while it is time. A bigger work is made necessary, therefore awareness, of the residents of the district open to question.
