A inclusão de crianças com espectro autista no ensino regular: um estudo de caso.

Abstract

School inclusion is regulated in Brazil for many years and has the objective of promoting education for all, regardless. However, even with the provisions in laws for their enforcement, the inclusive processes have many challenges to what actually happens. Based on these regulations, this study aims to investigate how the regular school is organized to include children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this sense, we sought to investigate the organizational issue of a municipal school in the city of Sumé- PB, which has among its students an autistic child. To obtain data, semi-structured interviews were conducted with school professionals working directly with the autistic student. Interviews were recorded, transcribed and categorized from the thematic content analysis proposed by Bardin. The study of the interviews results contributed to understand how actually happens inclusion of autistic students in regular schools. It is suggested that further studies on the issue of school inclusion of autistic children observe the child's interaction in schools.
