“Na trama do destino”: Anayde Beiriz, uma história de gênero, memória e representação na Parahyba nas décadas de 1920-1930.

Abstract

This research seeks to analyze the construction of images and representations of teacher Anayde da Costa Beiriz who were exposed and circulated introducing us Anaydes, the woman-poet-intellectual-heroine-romantic-teacher, through of three reference works and distinct supports, being the book of the paraibano writer José Joffily, entitled “Anayde Beiriz: Passion and Death in the Revolution of 30”, the book of Paraíba doctor Marcus Aranha, entitled “Anayde, the Panther of the Sleeping Eyes”, and Rio's filmmaker Tizuka Yamasaki's film, Parahyba, Macho Woman. We worked with documentary analysis, demonstrating how each (re) constructed the Anayde's image, thus being able to present information and reports of Anayde's life Beiriz, and within this context, perform an analysis of his writings in an attempt to to "let her talk" of a "writing of herself." The paper also seeks to expose concepts of discussion of women and their space in society, making it necessary to report the social and cultural context of the time (Parahyba do Norte, 1920-1930), through the Anayde Beiriz's position, role, brands and history in the social context that was inserted, the relations of memory and power that were linked to its name, and the demarcation of many memories with various biases.
