A presença dos jovens nas igrejas cristãs e a contribuição da religião na formação do indivíduo social.

Abstract

The present work brings the sociological view of the presence of young people in Christian churches and the contribution that religion provides to this public, having as analyzed population the youth of the State School of Elementary and Secondary Education Professor José Gonçalves de Queiroz of the city Sumé - PB. The development of this research came from bibliographic researches about the topic religion and youth, together with the data from field research conducted with students of the mentioned institution, which had as objective to identify corroborative elements where the religion helps the young people in the construction the social individual. Complements the methodological body of this study, the exploratory analyze with qualitative approach, trough analyze techniques of speech of the collective subject helped for instruments in questionnaire form. Was chosen a small sample of the three years of Secondary School totalizing the number of 28 participants of the research, 16 questions asked including objectives and open. The study also addresses the problematic about the participation level of young people in Christian cults (catholic, evangelic) and the interaction in religious movements or pastorals, demonstrating the importance of religion in the reports of the participants, realizing a low frequency of them in religious actions, and a small adhesion to the pastorals and religious movements, but a awareness that religion can change the everyday of those who make part of it.
