Reestruturação urbana de Cajazeiras – PB influenciada pela implantação e expansão do setor de ensino superior.

Abstract

This search presented the process of implantation and expansion of higher education in the city of Cajazeiras - PB. The objective of this study was to analyze the installation, expansion and regional polarization of this urban center from higher education. The first education institution lato sensu of this city was FAFIC 1970, however, this section expanded from 2000s with the foundation college Santa Maria and San Francisco, and with the magnification of installations physical and academic existing ones too, notedly, CFP/UFCGG, IFPB, and the very FAFIC. That step, it realizes which was by insertion this service the city expanded its influence in the sertão of Paraíba parts of Southeast of Ceará and South-West of North Rio Grande. Moreover, contributed to diversify its economy, of department goods and services, about everything. The metodology and procedures of approach they took for granted continuous changes revealed in the forms and inside production and reproduction the local urban. The historical and dialectical materialism conducted observation theoretical/methodological of this study. This work left na assay qualitative/quantitative, backing under review bibliographic, document exam, field studies, interviews, making data and information. The findings of this research allow allege that the attendance of higher education contributed for this sub-regional center intensifies its comercial relations and services sphere, reconfigurare its economic formation, social and cultural. Miscreant this, it is relevant to atest that Cajazeiras it is a polo level of education higher regional.
