Práticas e abordagens pedagógicas sobre questões étnico-raciais na educação infantil.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the Practices and pedagogical approaches on ethnic-racial issues in early childhood education, from the point of view of teachers at a day care center in the city of Barro CE. The work takes as a reference the ways in which teachers perceive ethnic-racial issues in day-to-day care and how they develop pedagogical strategies aimed at their approach to early childhood education. To base our knowledge,we study authors`texts: Cavalleiro(2000); Moura (1992); Oliveira (2010); Petronilha (2003) among others. The methodology used was to conduct semi-structured interviews with 03 teachers. The research also seeks to analyze the pedagogical materials that address the ethnic-racial issues available in the nursery and try to understand the strategies adopted by the teachers in the use of them. The results of the research point out that ethnic-racial issues are still perceived by teachers as an issue related specifically to the resolution of conflicts, that is, related to negative aspects: prejudices, discrimination, violence. It also concludes that it is a theme that is not part of the daily life of the nursery due to a diversity of motivations, among them: the lack of insertion of the theme in the initial and continuous formation of teachers; the lack of pedagogical materials on this subject and the lack of educational policies.
