Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to characterize care and attention of nurses care practices Basic developed the sick elderly tuberculosis. The participants were nurses working in teams of the Family Health Strategy that municipality and dealing with the control of tuberculosis, especially in people aged over 60 years in treatment for the disease or have completed in the last two years, with reference to the beginning of the interviews. The material collected in May 2016 through semi-structured interview with the help of MP4 and portable audio recorder was analyzed by Categorical content analysis technique. All ethical aspects involving human research were followed in accordance with Resolution No. 466/2012 of the National Health Council and the research project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the School Santa Maria, under 1.502.733 number.
