"Cada um sabe a dor e delícia de ser o que é": análise sobre ser homossexual na universidade.

Abstract

The sexuality is something inherent to the human being, however, it is still full of many questionings, becoming it a sufficiently complex and prevented subject still for some people. If to speak of sexuality is not already so easy, work on the homosexuality causes even more discussion. Thus, this work had as a main goal to analyze how the students experience their homosexuality within the university, identify the experiences of being homosexual in the parental relationships and verify how the acceptance of the homosexual learners by the study classroom group occurs. Taking as base the principles of the descriptive research, with emphasis in the qualitative approach. A dialogue was developed between the theoretical results of the research and the studies that the current subject involves. The instrument of collection used for this research was the Free Test of Association of Palavras (TALP), being used twelve words of stimulations to get the data. The collection of data was realized with six homosexual students of the CFP, the Federal University of Campina Grande, in the city of Cajazeiras, located in the Alto Sertão da Paraiba. The theoretical reference brings a brief story on history of the sexuality, and after that on the homosexuality, for the construction of this referential it was necessary to study theoretical people as Michel Foucault (2013), Guacira Lopes Louro (2013), Jimena Furlani (2009), Luis Palhano Loiola (2006), Anderson Fontes Guimarães Steps (2009) among others. The university was analyzed as a convivence space, of resistance, growth and of the prejudice lived. The research pointed out that the university is a space of freedom but also of resistance, and that even so the students feel well inside the institution they still realizes prejudice against homosexuals even if it is not in an explicit way. And that still is necessary that the students fight for the conquest of space inside and outside the university without fear declaring homosexuals, facing the fear of being attacked and died by homophobic people, so that these fights inside result in conquests of space and civil laws of the society, as the conquests that already is happening in this last decade.
