| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | O descarte irregular dos resíduos sólidos é um grande problema da sociedade moderna. Muitas cidades brasileiras depositam resíduos sólidos em locais próximos de rios, lagos ou áreas arborizadas. Nessas condições os resíduos sólidos provocam problemas socioambientais. Dessa forma, esta monografia busca fazer uma descrição sobre o destino final dos resíduos sólidos produzidos na zona urbana e rural do município de Santa Helena-PB. Assim buscou-se mostrar os desafios frente ás políticas de tratamento de resíduos, descrevendo o sistema de coleta e o destino final dos resíduos nesse município. Foi realizada uma série de pesquisas e levantamentos de dados, referentes ao depósito dos resíduos sólidos no município de Santa Helena-PB. Considerou-se os dados do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) e realizou-se um levantamento cartográfico. Por fim, destaca-se, uma solução viável para aqueles resíduos que são produzidos no espaço urbano e no meio rural. |
| Abstract: | Irregular disposal of solid waste is a major problem of modern society. Many Brazilian cities deposit solid waste near rivers, lakes or wooded areas. Under these conditions the waste causes socio-environmental problems. Thus, this monograph seeks to make an analysis of the final destination of solid waste produced in the urban area and rural area of the municipality of Santa Helena-PB. The aim was to show the challenges regarding waste treatment policies, the collection system and the destination of waste in this municipality. A series of surveys and data surveys were carried out regarding the solid waste deposit in the municipality of Santa Helena-PB. Data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) were considered and a cartographic survey was carried out. Lastly, it is a viable solution for those residues that are produced in the urban space and in the rural environment. |
