Corpos que transitam sob ameaças - a (in)visibilidade da violência doméstica contra a mulher.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is derived from the experience during the academic life in the Extension Project "Self-organization of women and health", working with the target audience (the women) discussions about violence against women and their rights. During the actions carried out, there were reports of violence, and from then on, it was reflected on the invisibility about this issue and how it interferes in the health of victimized women. In this perspective, it becomes important to study the consequences of domestic violence on the health of women victims. The objective of this study was to analyze the cases of domestic violence against women accompanied by the "Suzane Alves da Silva" Reference Center for Women Care (CRAM) in Cajazeiras / PB. This is a field study with a qualitative and exploratory research design, carried out in the municipality of Cajazeiras / PB. The sample consisted of four participants, obeying the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the study. For data collection a semi-structured interview was used and the methodology called gatekeeper; the analysis of the data occurred through the analysis of thematic content. Four cases of domestic violence against women, one in 2017 and three in the year 2018, were analyzed, all victims had already reported to the Women's Police Station and were monitored by the Suzane Alves da Silva Reference Center. In the four cases analyzed, the women were dissatisfied, embarrassed, disgusted and outraged at being subjected to such violence. All reported concern for their children, because they suffered aggressions in front of them, generating fear and nervousness on their part. The categories listed, based on the analysis of thematic content, were: Relation between victim-aggressor and forms of violence; Violence against children; Consequences of violence and coping strategies of victims. In this sense, we point out how necessary to give continuity and visibility to the study of this subject in which, even if there are social and political advances, still are insufficient to reduce domestic violence against women in its various forms, many of them, difficult for the subject to understand.
