Uma análise sobre o projeto mandalas implantado na comunidade Assentamento Acauã no município de Aparecida - PB.

Abstract

The present working proposed to perform an analysis of the Mandala Project with rural producers Acauã settlement in the city of Aparecida - PB. The Mandala system for food production is an innovative project, which in addition to working with organic production through family agriculture enables rural families in the region a better quality of life, economically and socially. To achieve the goal of this work, initially made a theoretical discursão on family agriculture in Brazil, and in the Northeast identifying the main advantages and challenges of working with the Mandala project, showing its importance in preserving the environment and strengthening family agriculture. The project has brought benefits to the Community Settlement Acauã, however due to lack of water and technical assistance of the creators and some government agencies failed initially desired success.
