Abstract

Given the historical imagery-discursive process of the Northeast, this research, taking as chronic sources produced by Francisco Pereira Nóbrega, it seeks to understand how the chronicler constructs the image of the northeast and the northeast through his narratives. Nobrega was an important intellectual in the Paraíba scenario and, besides being a chronicler, teacher and writer. His personal trajectory linked to the cangaço phenomenon reveals his choice, preferably, by themes that discuss the social-political. Your chronicles will be taken from this research as a space for the production of historical knowledge and the analysis of his discourse, considers his personal experiences as determining factors in his narratives.
