Semiótica e literatura popular: uma proposta de análise do cordel para o Ensino Médio.

Abstract

The Cordel genre is developed in the writing, through assumptions of orality. Its construction aims the oral reproduction, which gives it an own rhythm of speaking, incorporating elements present in Cantorias. Thus, Cordel can be a great ally in reading strategies and reality comprehension, and a consciousness tool for social injustice. Therefore, our work has the general objective of proposing an analysis model for Cordel from the perspective of greimasian semiotics applied to the text comprehension work in the 1st year of high school. For it, we studied the generative course of meaning; we selected the corpus of application of the analysis; we analyzed the corpus in accordance to criteria for the development of an educational proposal. In this intention, we relied on the theoretical concepts of Greimas (1975) that justifies the internal analysis of text by the exam of the generative course of signification, which means investigating the text significances, considering the culture in which it was conceived. The methodological path we tracked contemplates a qualitative approach, being a bibliographic-analytical research. The universe of the study was 16 Cordel pamphlets of the Pombalense writer, Leandro Gomes de Barros. From this universe, a sample was selected to be worked on: the leaflet História da Donzela Teodora, which constituted the corpus for the proposal analysis for the high school. From the three levels of the course, we focused on discursivization, whose the explored categories were: in syntax the enunciator, the enunciatee, time and space; in semantic figurativization and theming. Confabulating those categories, the prevalent idea in the Cordel genre seems to be questioned about some values of Nordestino people, as the role of active women in the submission stage, as projected in the speech, one of the actors in the skin of a maiden, pure girl stereotype, giving her voice and posture only allowed to man. The question we refer is a way to defend the possible thesis that the women are wise, they can have and they must have a voice, and express themselves. It is proved in the speech when the maiden wins all the wise who challenge her, all of those men, in a region where the man seemed to be more "human" than just "male" that the woman often has her power denied especially in a male-dominated society.
