O Amor em versos: as relações afetivas e representações femininas na Paraíba moderna (1920-1930) nos folhetos de cordéis.

Abstract

Cordel is indeed an important cultural and historical product for northeastern society. At narratives produced in them help us to understand a little about the thoughts and experiences those who produce it, as well as the place and time in which they are produced. It is thinking about representations “made” based on the conceptions of the cordelistas of the space they occupy social and moral values ​​that govern society at a given time. A source of wide “Production” of characters and stories (stories), Cordel Literature will “(re) create” discourses in which most of the analyzed strings place the woman as the main “axis” of the narrative or as “supporting” character in the plots, tracing his presence in the establishment of the various social and affective relationships established between themselves and others. Then, from the leaflets Northeastern Cordel analyze the various discourses produced about the woman and the various characters present in the stories, paying attention to the first decades of the twentieth century (1920 - 1930) and the changes brought about by the desire to become modern. Dialogizing the stereotypes produced about the feminine with the social and affective relations established between the “protagonists” of the narratives elaborated within Cordel's Popular Literature.
