Identificação dos cuidados de enfermagem na prevenção de complicações pós - operatórias.

Abstract

Surgical Nursing is a branch of nursing, in which actions are directed to care for the patient in the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative. The nurse, in each of these three periods, should develop a Care System for Perioperative Nursing care more effective. Operative procedures may result in postoperative complications that are arising mainly of changing risk factors related to the patient, the surgery, the institutional resources and human resources. Assistance prior to surgical therapy nursing efficiently eliminates or minimizes many of these disorders. This study aimed at investigating the nursing care identified by patients preoperatively to prevent postoperative complications. This is a field study of exploratory study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, surgical clinics realizadonas city Cajazeiras -PB Regional Hospital. The population was a convenience sample of 60 patients. This study followed some criteria which were included: customers preoperative elective surgeries, more than eight hours, over 18, who had the ability to answer the questions of the study. Data were collected during the month of March, through a multiple choice questionnaire linked to the observation of the researcher. The results show that the care provided by nursing for the prevention of complications are scarce , especially with concern the guidelines provided , the educational preparation and the association of psychological treatment with physiological . From the study it became clear that there is a shortfall in the targeted care to surgical patients, the biomedical model is still very evident, where the patient is and divided attention on their disease, so that the technicist care is enough for the reestablishment of health. We highlight the precariousness of customer knowledge about their disease, surgery and care to prevent complications.
