Resumen:
Traffic is the most important factor in pavement design. The consideration of traffic should
include both the load magnitude and configuration and the number of load repetitions. The mix of traffic
due to multiple wheels must be converted to number of repetition of standard single axle (N) so the
design appropriate method can be applies to pavement analysis.
This dissertation presents a preliminary diagnostic of the traffic data base in Paraiba State,
using analysis based to data distribution, spatially and temporally; and equivalent-axle factors.
According the results it was possible show limits and present suggestions to management of the
colette process and analysis traffic data for highways plans of the Paraiba State.
