Resumo:
This paper discusses the relationship between textbook and military dictatorship
in Brazil, based on the analysis of textbooks on the history of Saraiva and
Between 2009 and 2013, in order to understand the approach of the
same ones about the 1964 and 1985 period.

about the period in which it was conventionally called the Military Dictatorship, when
that the military exercised power in Brazil (1964-1985), this power extended by

memory about this period. In this sense, it will be investigated how it was elaborated
a memory about the Military Dictatorship in those manuals and if such a memory comes
being reworked over time or remains unchanged. The following shall be considered:

period of Brazilian history.
