Potencial de sustentabilidade da agricultura familiar de cabaceiras, PB (1995/2001).

Abstract

In Brazil, domestic agriculture was bom under the bondage to a great property and to exclusion. Its development universe, in general, received the effects of the capitalist development pattern based in exportation of primary products, by substitution of national products and by approach of the international rules. Domestic agriculturists do not follow this evolution losing competitivity facing their international competitors. Among all these boltings and exclusions in economy, in politics, and in the society, the northeastern domestic agriculture has passed over several stages to survive in last decades; happening as consequence, mest survival ways to all turbulences of exclusion politics and prejudices, considered by many by its pouverty, ingnorance and by its support agriculture. But, the new Sustentable Development axis adopted in the usual politics, inspires a change when it comes to the opposite of the rural Brazilian tradition founded by the great owners, giving, by this way, special enphasis to importance and to the role that domestic agriculture has a dynamic economy of the country. It is within this content that we try to analyse the power of domestic sustentability agriculture in Cabaceiras; in the stats of Paraiba. We aimed, in this research, to start from the limits and potencialities of domestic agriculture in Cabaceiras. The potencialities of the domestic agriculturists in developing a sustentable agriculture in economics, social and ambientalist terms. We discovered as a last conclusion that the agriculturists, of the studied sample, are able to find aut a result; being profitable or not, through the capinovinoculture, and in transforming it in better survival conditions in the field. This result is given by a small piece of land and that can be proved through the conditions of living, relatively appropiate. But, in order to develop that kind of agriculture, the help of the Government is necessary.
