The Community Health Agent (CHA) is a professional inserted into the Family Health Strategy whose main vector of promoting public health. The role played by these professionals is crucial for the health strategies have direct resonance between users of the program and the teams responsible. The role of the ACS is to make a true mapping of community needs, catalog them and send to the relevant bodies. Deserves a study on the quality of life of ACS that, due to its exhaustive workload can be affected a number of issues, among which stand out: those relating to, financial, organizational and interpersonal emotional aspect, developed as a product of their activities. The main objective is to evaluate, according to the perceptions of CHWs, their quality of work life. This is a field study, exploratory, descriptive qualitative approach. The study was conducted with 13 ACS, in Cachoeira dos Indios -PB. Data collection was performed using a semi-structured questionnaire with open questions. Data were analyzed using the technique of the Collective Subject Discourse. Of the thirteen CHWs studied 85 % were female was observed , with ages ranging between 23 and 63 years. For marital status had a predominance of single adding to 54 %. The system of work are gazetted 62 %, and 38 % of all respondents have another occupation. The evaluation shows that mostly CHWs meet with a health problem triggered by everyday at work being the main ones: stress, physical and mental fatigue. The lack of recognition for his work associated with lack of material, wide area and lack of resolution of the problems by the government were the main limits to the development of the activities of these professionals. In spite of the "problems " mentioned most CHWs themselves satisfied by mentioning about their activities in the community.
