Résumé:
This research paper is titled: Youth and Adults (EJA): Conceptions and teacher training. In it I
tried to reflect on how teacher training is working in Youth and Adult Education in the city of
Cajazeiras, as well as identify how does the process of initial and continuing training of
teachers, and this training encourages the development of teacher competence renewed. As
for methodology, we performed a qualitative study, which sought the data to be analyzed
through interviews with three teachers working in adult education in the institution EMEIEF
Antonio Rodrigues Tabosa in CAIC, in the city of Cajazeiras-PB. Regarding the results, the
research revealed that many of the professionals working in adult education had no specific
training for adult education, and the training continued for the same also leaves much to be
desired. Thus, one can see that the interviewees have difficulties in teaching practice, the lack
of specific training to work in this type of education. This process, which should be
significant, and the ongoing training of teachers of adult education can not just be a process of
accumulating information and knowledge. But they do in skills development in order to
improve their practice, with the ability to perceive, observe and reflect. However the research
explained that the Education Youth and Adult, requires specific teacher training, since it is a
major factor in the performance and enforcement of effective adult education.
