Résumé:
The main objective of the present monographic work was to analyze the potential of the
photographic image for the study of the city of Nazarezinho - PB, with students of the 6th
year of the Municipal School of Primary Education Maria do CarmoPedroza Mendes. The
methodological procedures rescued studies and discussions on the teaching of Geography,
landscape and city, field work. The methodology of the work highlights the fieldwork in
Geography. Right after, there were observations of the Geography classes in the 6th year and
the realization of a pedagogical workshop. The objective of the workshop was to know and
analyze through photographic images the landscape of the city of Nazarezinho - PB. The
results were satisfactory, because the students knew and analyzed the transformations of the
city's landscapes over time. By virtue of this, we conclude that the photographic images as a
didactic resource assist in the teaching-learning process of Geography and permit a greater
interest in the classes by the students.
