school, we analyzed the difficult e sin reading and writing in the teaching and learning. This
study based on qualitative research interviews with tabulation showing the learning
difficulties of students in the city of Sousa-PB. Will see a brief history of reading and writing
and the relationships between teachers and students highlighting the importance of reading
and writing, as well as characterizing teaching practices. This study was an exploratory
principle at the Municipal School of Basic Education, Sinhá Gadelha, Sousa-PB, followed by
an interview with the subjects participating in Elementary Education and for students who
experience difficult is in the practice of reading and writing. Formation was observed, the
teaching time of teachers, and how these work in the class rooming the first years of
elementary school. Despite the changes occurring over time, few changes occurred because
many educators are still clinging to a mechanical and formalistic practice where learning to
read/write ends up being for most students something boring and obligatory. The teacher as
facilitator of learning make it through reading and writing open up new perspectives for the
students o that there a derby come shear writing and for the world to life and expanding your
horizons. So for the appropriation of reading and writing to succeed it is necessary for school
resume skills development corroborating overcoming the difficulties in reading and writing.
What can be concluded is that reading and writing are prerequisites for other school leanings
hold therefore be prioritized.
