Resumo:
This work deals with the localization and optimal adjustment of tri-phase
voltage regulators and single phase regulators banks in radial distribution systems. Low
and peak system loading conditions are considered. This problem is solved using an
Genetic Algorithm which minimizes the bar voltage deviation related to the system rated
voltage and losses reduction with the regulators installation. The operation taps and the
regulators localization are assumed as discrete variables. The load flow calculation is made
with the Power Summation Method and a constant power modeling is used for the load
representation. The implemented algorithm is validated by study of a distribution system
presented in technical literature. In addition, an analysis of a regional distribution system is
presented.
