The tutoring has been a practice adopted by people who search this informal activity
the way to ensure the improvement of the academic performance of their children in
mainstream school can not keep pace with the class. However, it is of great
importance to support studies that bring the discussions and debates the
effectiveness of this type of work, which the professionals who are trained to the
same and if students can develop the learning from these reinforcements school
extra-school. In this context, this study brings to focus the tutoring outside school, ie,
by individuals whose main objective is to investigate what the predominant in-school
tutoring, if there advantages or limitations. The tutoring is an activity that is growing in
promoting the best quality of teaching and learning in order to improve the academic
performance of the student. This practice has been adopted by the school that has
tried this option to try to minimize the difficulties of students with regard to the content
taught in the classroom. However, to support an approach to the topic, the
methodology includes an exploratory and descriptive quantitative approach through
scale statistical IBM APSS Statistics Essentials for R version 1.8. The conclusions
reached in this study demonstrate that this theme has been discussed widely, there
are few studies of scaling up school extra-school, making it necessary to broaden the
discussions and studies to be able to reach a conclusion more effective and efficient.
