Resumo:
In this work we tried to study the problem of the polishing length of the poles, requested by a horizontal load on its top, with the soil opposing the
pole movement exclusively through lateral raises. Three methods of analysis were developed: the Rupture Surface Method, the Rigid Body Method
and the Elastic Base Beam Method. The first is a rupture study, adopting, as a design criterion, an ultimate limit state, while the other two adopt a
limit state of use. Results from application
these methods with experimental results and those obtained by applying known methods. Tables are presented for faster and more objective use of the proposed methods.
