The main objective of this study is to calculate the extreme climbing indices, dependent on the maximum and minimum temperatures and the daily rainfall, for the State of Paraíba, by graphically comparing the results obtained through the correlation areas of the studied variables. Daily data from 6 climatic stations were used to calculate the climate temperature indices and daily data from 1 climatic station to calculate the rainfall indices, all maintained by INMET, this choice was made due to the reliability of the data. The computations of weather extremes indices were made by RClimdex software developed to compute the 27 indexes proposed by CCI / CLIVAR, and statistical analysis of results was performed using the Mann- Kendall test with a significance level of 5%, indicating the extreme weather indices have significant trend, thus confirming climate change. The results indicated significant climatic changes in certain indices of 3 of the 6 localities studied, indicating an increase in the maximum temperature indices in all 3 localities, but variation between increase and decrease of minimum temperatures and thermal amplitude over the studied period. Rainfall trends indicated a significant increase in the number of extremely wet days. In conclusion, where climate change was observed, a general increase in maximum temperatures can be observed, but variation in other indices is probably due to the regional implications for the microclimates of each locality. The comparative graph presented a satisfactory relationship in two pairs of inversely proportional variables, but the same cannot be said of the rest.
