This study allowed us to observe that offer a dignified death is a challenge because it involves balancing multiple perspectives and needs of the patient, the family and the professionals themselves. The nurses also highlighted the conflict between the personal aspect of the professional on resist or accept death as something natural. Sets up then the need for education on the subject of death and dying process. Accordingly, for the discussion of dignified death is enlarged, there needs to be recast curricula of health professionals in which, even today , we find greater focus in the area rather than curative care during the process of death and dying . Nurses who shared this study identified characteristics of dignified death of the patient and described the interventions they use to promote a dignified death, especially the comfort and humanized care to the patient and family care.
