Résumé:
The experiment was conducted under field conditions in the farm belonging to the Ponta da Serra in the city of Fires, PB, located by geographical coordinates: 7 ° 22 '00 "south latitude, 36 ° 00' 06"lorigitude. The objective is therefore to assess the growth and
development of agronomic rates and castor intercropping system. The experimental design was randomized blocks, and the treatments consisted of combinations of four irrigation levels regarding the replacement of water 50, 75, 100 and 125% of crop
evapotranspiration, with four castor spacings (1x0, 5 , l x l , 1x1, 1x2 and 5 m) interspersed between the rows of cane sugar with three blocks. We evaluated the growth of the castor height, stem diameter, leaf area, dry mass of shoot and root and productivity. With respect to agronomic rates determined the efficient use of land, the
competitiveness index and the coefficient on population, growth variables, such as plant height, stem diameter and shoot dry matter were influenced by the castor bean castor spacing used. The water depth in the variables used alone interfered leaf area, dry matter
of shoot and root. The yield of castor bean was significantly affected by the spacing used and the spacing of 1x0, 5m, provided the highest yield. The yield of cane sugar was influenced by the population of castor bean, where he received the maximum co castor smaller spacing. The highest index was obtained efficient land in the spacing and the lowest value of the coefficient for population (K) were obtained in spacing 1x0, 5 in all water depths studied.
