Resumo:
The study presented in this dissertation deals with analyzes and discussions about erosion problems in slopes of some roads located in the Brazilian Northeast.
This paper presents a critical bibliographical review of the current knowledge of the erosion phenomenon in soils, highlighting the main parameters
erosion sensitive soil and its mechanism. The field study was centered on six natural slopes. In the laboratory, the main parameters were determined, such as: particle size, Atterberg limits, real density, cohesion and internal friction.
Chemical analysis of some component elements
were performed to complement the experimental data.
Discussions and analyzes are presented based on local topography, slope drainage, geological elements, relating them to experimental data. The conclusion is based on the geotechnical characteristics of the slopes soils, as well as on the degree of weathering of these soils.
