Abstract:
It is of utmost importance to awareness, awareness, and participation in society on various issues of environmental degradation and its problems. It is necessary in this context, and propose different ways to emphasize alternative methods of managing the natural resources present on the planet in a sustainable way. This monograph Environmental Education and Sustainability, developed in the State School High School Orlando Venancio dos Santos, in the municipality of Cuité, state of Paraíba, aims to enhance scientific knowledge and lead to high school students about the topic of sustainability and environmental education , which aims to highlight not only theoretically what is sustainability, sustainable development, recycling, consumer awareness, among other concepts, but also show viable alternatives to develop this new way of managing the planet's natural resources sustainably, practical and creative, reusing disposables and cost through collective action and participatory who value teamwork, scoring and showing the responsibility of all of the impacts of our individual actions brought in the environment which we live. Therefore, this project is aimed at developing concepts related to environmental education in a theoretical and practical way, through the preparation and production of plots of organic vegetables produced with plastic bottles for use by students in school meals, having as purpose use vegetables in school lunches, as well as reproduce this experience in students' everyday lives.
