Abstract:
Among the new strategies of care and health promotion, Integrative Community Therapy (ICT), has been consolidated like a resource for innovative care that favors empowerment, through sharing problems experienced in daily life and their ways of coping. It was created by Paula Adalberto Barreto, that conceptualizes the ICT as a space where there is sharing of experiences and wisdom experienced in day-to-day, so circular and horizontal. In this sense, this research aimed to understand the repercussions of Community Therapy Integrative among nursing students. It is a qualitative research, with exploratory typology, and descriptive. The study population was 10 (ten) nursing students who participated circle of ICT, developed in the period from May to December 2012, from extension projects developed in UFCG - Campus Cuité. Data collection was conducted during June and July 2013. Was used a semi-structured interview and an audio recorder to collect the testimonies of students. The data analysis followed the criteria of thematic interpretation, based on under a theoretical approach, as well as our goals. Thus, it was possible to apprehend the problem investigated, from two main areas: 1. Characterization of study participants according to age, sex, where he met the practice of ICT and how many wheels part 2. Analytical categories were subdivided into two categories empirical: "Rediscovering paths": Interests in circles of ICT, "A wheel alive!": ICT as a therapeutic bond promoter. The results indicate that the age of the participants was between 21 and 35 years of age, having greater female participation in the circles. Participation in the circles of ITC was justified for several reasons, that can be summarized by the opportunity to share and listen, beyond receiving. Common themes addressed in ICT were: family problems, homesickness and friends, health problems, relationship problems, concern about the career, overload academic activities. The participation in circles ICT favored the relief of suffering, forming bonds and inclusion in the community where they live. The main contributions of ICT in academic and professional life were expressed by statements that involve humanized and comprehensive care, and self-knowledge and encouragement of inter-relationships. Finally, ICT is an effective practice of care that values the promotion of health, promotes linkages and impacts the quality of life of the participants. It is hoped that the study contribute to knowledge about the integrative practices of ICT in particular, so as to encourage spaces for sharing and production of integrated care and humane.
