Résumé:
The meiobenthonic community is represented by invertebrates of reduced sizes varying from 0.045 mm to 0.5 mm. This community stands out the Phylum Nematoda to be quite different in density and biomass in various types of sediments. This study is of extreme important to the enrich and update the list zoological meiofaunística the Paraibano coastline
and consequently as Brazil, while also serving as a screening tool for possible anthropogenic impacts. The work aimed to make a survey quality-quatity meiofauna and nematofauna in four urban Paraiba beaches. The biological sediment samples were collected at three points with four replicates at each beach. For extraction of meiofauna used the methodology to meiobenthology and marine nematology studies. The meiofauna is represented by 16 taxa beaches studied, Nematoda the most frequent and most abundant among them. Qualitative and quantitatively nematofauna is comprised wite 73 gender in all the beaches, with five being considered the most abundant above of 25% (twenty-five percent) and ten considered more frequently above 50% (fifty percent). Statistically, the beaches presented with their different population structure, and Cabo Branco Manaíra parted Tambaú and Bessa, results attributed to various abiotic characteristics found in the study sites.
