Resumen:
The unconventional practices in health are therapeutic resources that seek to stimulate the natural and adaptive mechanisms of a human, preventing diseases, restoring and promoting health, with emphasis in receptive listening, developing the therapeutic relationship and the human integration with the environment and society. These practices aim the care without medicines, which has little or no side effects and involving the individual holistically. The study aimed to: investigate the applicability of PCIs and popular practices in health visitors with affective bonds and/or family members of critically ill patients. This is an exploratory and descriptive study with quantitative approach, performed in critical patient care environments at Hospital Estadual de Emergência e Trauma Senador Humberto Lucena, in the city of João Pessoa - PB. The sample consisted of 100 families, and the data processed by SPSS software. Because this research evolved humans, the Resolution 466/12 was attended, and it was was approved by the Comitê de Ética do HUAC, in the opinion n° 328.320. The quantitative data were grouped in tables and graphs, discussed in the light of relevant literature to the topic. The data were collected through questionnaires, arranged in two parts: the first on the characterization of the subject participating in the study, the second was aimed at identifying the research objectives. To characterize the subjects it was collected through the data collection instrument the following questions: gender, age, marital status, education, profession, relationship to the patient and the section that will visit or the family bonding. With the assumption of achieving the objectives of the study, taking into account the collected material analysis, 06 graphs emerged: Knowledge of unconventional practices in health; Use of unconventional practices in health; The Purpose of Use of unconventional practices in health; Benefits After the Use of unconventional practices in health; Recommendation practices, and identification of unconventional practices Recommendation health. The unconventional practices provide comprehensive care to individuals, families and the emotional ties of these.
Relatives and affective bonds carry a big reliability, for so they are being recognized and integrated as a key component to influence the use of these.
